GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Scott Hileman, Baltimore Blast
Hileman is named Goalkeeper of the Week after saving 12 of 15 shots in the Blast's 8-3 win over the Eastern Division rival Cleveland Force on Friday, November 14, at 1st Mariner Arena. The 31-year-old recorded the 78th win of his Blast career, moving him past Cris Vaccaro and into first place on the club's all-time list. With his second consecutive victory, Hileman improved to 3-2 on the season, and lowered his goals against average to 4.50, fourth in the MISL.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Vlatko Andonovski, Kansas City Comets
Andonovski scored two points (goal, assist) and blocked seven shots in two weekend games. He stood out in Kansas City's 15-6 loss in Milwaukee on Friday night, rejecting four shots and recording a goal and an assist. And his three-block performance was key on Saturday night as the Comets upset the Philadelphia KiXX 11-9 at the Wachovia Spectrum. Andonovski, who missed all but 11 games of the 2002-03 season with a knee injury, has now scored two points and blocked eight shots in his first three games of the 2003-04 campaign.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Todd Dusosky, Milwaukee Wave
Dusosky continued a torrid hot streak with five points (two goals, three assists) in Milwaukee's 15-6 triumph over Kansas City on Friday night at U.S. Cellular Arena. His tally at 5:11 of the second quarter stood as the game-winner. After missing the Wave's first two games, Dusosky has scored six goals and assisted on nine others for 15 points in his last five outings. The 27-year-old posted a career year in 2002-03 with 90 points and a League-leading 42 assists, earning his first All-Star berth and his first All-League selection.
