Miracles Sign Micah Brand

(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles have announced today that they have released 6'3" guard Jeremy Alleyne. Miracles ownership and management want to thank Jeremy for his contribution to the team this season and wish him well in his future career.

The Miracles had an opportunity to improve their roster with the addition of Micah Brand. Micah, a 6'10" centre will be the Canadian newcomer to the Miracles roster. Brand played his college career at the University of Massachusetts and began the season with the Saint John Mill Rats. Last season he played in Lebanon and averaged 15.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and one block per game. The well-traveled international veteran has played professionally abroad for 10 years in Lebanon, Korea, Paraguay, China, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, and Finland. He worked out for the New Jersey Nets in 2005 and the Philadelphia 76ers in 2007.

"Micah will add some more size on the inside for us which is exactly what we need," said Head Coach/ General Manager Ricky Benitez. "He is an experienced player that will be able to help the team on and off the court."

The Moncton Miracles will play their next game at home on Sunday, December 9thagainst the Windsor Express. Tip-off is 2pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
