Miracles Overtake Rainmen

(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles beat the Halifax Rainmen for the second time this month with a final score of 109-87.

The first half was close with Moncton having a 6-point lead going into the break, 44-38. The Miracles came out as strong as ever in the third quarter outscoring the Rainmen 36-19 and they were never able to recover.

Miracles Sweetney shot went 6 for 8 from the 3-point line while Darrell Wonge went 4-5. The team shot an impressive 65.2% from behind the arc, while the Rainmen shot 11.8%.

Devin Sweetney led the way for the Miracles with 27 points. Tyrone Levett followed with 21 points and Sylvania Watkins pulled down 13 rebounds.

Hilary Haley was the top scorer for the Rainmen with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Brandon Robinson was right behind him with 12 points.

The Miracles play their next game at home on Sunday, November 18th against the Oshawa Power. Tip-off is 2pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
