Southern Illinois Miners News Release

MARION, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Miners and Interactive Broadcast Network Sports (iBN Sports) will once again partner to allow Miners fans to watch and listen to all 48 Miners home games live over the Internet this season. IBN Sports is a premier Internet-based broadcast sports television network and will broadcast all Miners home games over the iBN Sports Baseball Channel (www.ibnsports.com).

The Miners are also currently working with iBN and the other teams in the Frontier League in an effort to broadcast the team's road games as well.

"Having the webcasts last year was great for the organization and our fans," Miners General Manager Tim Arseneau said. "We had great feedback on the webcast and we look forward to providing our fans more opportunities to watch Miners games this year."

Last year the Miners became the first and only team in the Frontier League to have video webcasts available for all of its home games as well as selected road games. The webcasts feature live video from the game along with the voice of Miners radio play-by-play announcer Scott Gierman. The webcasted games will once again be archived for fans to watch at their convenience.

The Miners will begin the 2009 season in Evansville on Friday, May 22. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. For the latest news and updates, visit www.southernillinoisminers.com.
