
Millrats Outrun Stampede

The Manchester Millrats outran the Buffalo Stampede 116-107 despite 43 points from Karl Rainey.
Manchester jumped out of the gates early, leading 44-24 midway through the second quarter on a three point basket by Lincoln Glass.
However, Buffalo hung tough behind Karl Rainey, and pulled within 58-48 at the intermission. Buffalo would close to within six late, as Manchester struggled from the foul line in the second half (13-27), but would not get any closer.
Manchester was led by Desmond Ferguson with 19 points, Sam Carey with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Lincoln Glass with 16 off the bench. Kenyon Gamble added 6 rebounds and 5 blocks.
With the win, the Millrats improve to 7-3 on the season and the Stampede drop to 1-7. The Millrats host the Quebec Kebs at 2:30pm on Sunday.
