Millrats Add Another Interior Presence

The Manchester Millrats of the American Basketball Association announce they have come to terms with 6'11 center Ife Anosike.

Anosike played the last two seasons in the ABA with the Boston Frenzy, and then last season with the Cape Cod Frenzy. Last year he posted averages of 6.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.

A hard working center who does all the dirty work on the inside. He rebounds well and his specialty is blocking shots and taking charges. At 245 pounds, he possess an NBA body and is most effective when guarding other big centers.

Anosike began playing the game of basketball after high school while attending Fisher College in Boston. He later transferred to DIII hoops powerhouse Salem State. At Salem State, he was an All-Conference selection and averaged 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks per game.

His sister, Nicky, was a starter on the Tennessee woman's NCAA championship basketball team last season.

The Millrats are a new entry in the American Basketball Association (ABA), and will play their home games in the 'Fieldhouse' on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. The season and home opener is set for Sunday November 11, 2007 at 4:35 p.m. versus the Boston Blizzard.
