
Miller Shines in Complete Game Victory on Efros Night

Saugerties Stallions News Release
The Saugerties Stallions (12-9) extended their win streak to five games with a 2-1 victory over the Oneonta Outlaws (6-13) at Cantine Field on Friday night.
The win went to Lane Miller (Indiana State) who would receive his first decision of the year in a complete game victory at Cantine Field, giving up two hits and one unearned run. Miller had twelve strikeouts in the Stallions first complete game in franchise history.
The Stallions scored first in the fourth inning off an RBI double off the bat of Noah Ledford (Georgia Southern). Tyler Kelder (St. Bonaventure) scored from first to give the Stallions a 1-0 lead.
The Outlaws would even up the score in the top of the 6th inning. Mike Casselegio (Marist) reached on a walk, stole second, and advanced to third on Hayden Travinski's (LSU) throw going into center field. Jared Payne (Kentucky) would ground out to Max Cotier (Virginia) at shortstop and score Casselegio from third to tie the game at 1-1.
The Stallions would strike again on a lead-off solo home run from Kyle Ofier (Bloomsburg). Ofier's first home run of the season would be the winning run on Efros Orthodontics night.
The Stallions ended the night with five hits while the Outlaws would finish with two. Saugerties also committed three errors.
The Stallion's faithful reached a record attendance at 4,823 fans packing Cantine Field for the home game.
The Outlaws resume action tomorrow night at Smith Sports Complex in a road matchup with Adirondack. Saugerties will travel to Glens Falls tomorrow night to take on the Dragons.
