
Mill Rats to Launch Mill Rats Basketball Academy Holiday Clinic

(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats are proud to announce the launch of MRBA (Mill Rats Basketball Academy) and MRBAJr (Mill Rats Basketball Academy Jr), their first Holiday clinic, sponsored by RBC. The holiday clinic will include instruction from professional Mill Rats players and coaches. The clinic will be a great way for existing basketball players to train in an intense but fun environment.
Mill Rats Basketball Academy is an academy dedicated to the training and development of players at an elite level while MRBA Jr focuses on the training and development of players at any level.
"We are so excited to kick off these camps. This will be one of the best skill camps that the Mill Rats have put on thus far. It is a launch to Mill Rats Basketball Academy that is committed to take players to the next level whether it be elite, high school, college or pro. The program initiative is to improve skills and development of players for their respective high school, provincial, collegiate and professional teams," said David Cooper, Assistant Coach for the Saint John Mill Rats and former player.
Clinics will include (but not limited to):
Passing Shooting Ball handling Agility Offensive 1 on 1 moves Defensive drills Physical Conditioning
Both clinics will take place at Rothesay Netherwood School on December 27th and 28th. The MRBA Jr clinic will go from 1:00pm - 2:00pm for ages 5 - 10 and 2:05pm - 3:05pm for ages 10-12.
The MRBA clinic for those 13 and older, will take place afterwards from 3:10pm - 4:15pm. All participants will receive a t-shirt, water bottle and two ticket vouchers to a Saint John Mill Rats game!

Early registration is encouraged as spots are filling up fast.
In the effort to promote basketball and physical fitness throughout the province, the Mill Rats will be giving 10% of registration fees from each player back to their respective minor basketball association.
Tis the season for giving!
The Mill Rats play in Moncton tonight at 7pm then host the Miracles at Harbour Station on Saturday, Dec 17th for the "Toys for Tots" theme. Everyone is encouraged to bring a toy to drop off at the door for The Joshua Group. Game time 7pm.
