
Deluca's Miracle Lifts Mill Rats

(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats forward Steve Deluca's three pointer at the buzzer provided the miracle needed to lift the Mill Rats to a 102-99 victory at the Moncton Coliseum.
The Moncton Miracles featured four new faces in an attempt to get their first win on the season.
Both teams fought hard and it proved to be a game of runs. Saint John garnered a 78-63 lead entering the fourth quarter. Moncton went on a run of their own and rallied to tie the game 99-99 with ten seconds left which set up the Mill Rats final possession.
Leading scorers for the Mill Rats were Anthony Anderson with 24 points, Antoine Tisby with 22 and Greg Plummer with 15. Miracles leading scorers were Victor Morris with 18, while Darrell Wonge and Andrew Francis added 16 each.
The Mill Rats rise to 7-6 while the Moncton Miracles fall to 0-11.
The Mill Rats host the Moncton Miracles at Harbour Station this Saturday, Dec 17th for the "Toys for Tots" theme. Attendees are encouraged to bring toys to drop off at the door to go towards The Joshua Group. Game time 7pm.
