Saint John Riptide News Release

(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats are lacing up their kicks this week for a three game home stretch that kicks off Wednesday evening at Harbour Station when the Mill Rats take on the Summerside Storm. The Storm are currently 5-3. The game theme is "Wild Wild West"; guests are encouraged to dress in country attire. This game also marks the start of the Wacky Wednesday promo where students can purchase an upper bowl ticket for only $5 (plus box office fee).

On Thursday, the Mill Rats will face off against the Oshawa Power, who stopped the Halifax Rainmen Sunday evening with a score of 115-111. The Power are currently 4-5 in the National Basketball League of Canada standings. Thursday's theme will be NYC in Saint John. Modern glitz & glam indicative of the big city, coupled with songs from traditional favourites like Frank Sinatra will be in full effect. It's time to pull out the fedoras as New York City visits Saint John.

To finish off the trio of home games on Friday, the Mill Rats will host the Halifax Rainmen, who are currently 3-3. This game marks a special announcement as the Mill Rats will be retiring David Cooper's #7 jersey in honour of his longstanding commitment to the organization on and off the court.

Friday evening will be "Ladies Night" and will also feature half time entertainment from Dee Hernandez (pictured above). She will be performing "Burn the Sun" and "Psyco Lovin'" from her new and upcoming second album.

Mill Rats single game and flex tickets are now on sale at the Harbour Station box office 657-1234 or the Mill Rats office 214-4454.
