
Mike Gellinger Named Bristol Sox Manager for 2013

The Chicago White Sox have announced that Mike Gellinger will serve as manager of the Bristol Sox in 2013.
Gellinger will be joined by returning pitching coach Larry Owens, who will be in Bristol for the third summer, and hitting coach Greg Briley, who also returns for his third season with the Bristol Sox.
A Chicago-area native, Gellinger has been affiliated with the White Sox organization for more than 25 years. He has played, coached and managed in the minor leagues, and has served as computer scouting analyst, bench coach and assistant hitting coach in the major leagues.
"We are excited to have Mike joining us here in Bristol this summer," announced Mahlon Luttrell, president of Bristol Baseball, Inc., the non-profit corporation which operates the Bristol Sox. Luttrell also serves as the team's general manager.
The Sox begin their season June 20, with Opening Night at Boyce Cox Field scheduled for June 23.
