
Michelle Heyman Named to Matildas Squad for China Matches

ELMA, N.Y. (Tuesday, October 13, 2015) - Western New York Flash forward Michelle Heyman has been named to Australia's 21-player roster for the team's upcoming China tour. The Westfield Matildas will face China on October 23, followed by a match versus England on October 27. The team may also play a third match while on tour.
Heyman, 27, recently went on loan to Canberra United of the W-League and will look to help the club defend the league title. In her first season in the NWSL, Heyman featured in nine matches for the Flash, scoring a goal and adding an assist. She was named Week 14 Player of the Week after scoring a goal in her first appearance, a 3-3 draw against Sky Blue FC.
The W-League begins play this weekend, with Canberra traveling to the Brisbane Roar on Saturday for an 11 p.m. ET/1 p.m. AEST (next day) kickoff.
