Lancaster JetHawks News Release
Former JetHawks pitcher and current starter for the Arizona Diamondbacks Micah Owings headlines a jam-packed JetHawks Clubhouse Show this afternoon on Magic 1340 and JetHawks.com. The pitching standout made his pro debut in Lancaster in 2005. Red Sox Vice President/Player Personnel Ben Cherington will also appear to talk about how the Red Sox front office makes player decisions and discusses recent Red Sox trades. Plus JetHawks manager Chad Epperson describes his team's experience this week watching the Red Sox play in Anaheim.
Fans also have a chance to win a JetHawks Family Fun Pack including four tickets, hot dogs, and sodas to a JetHawks game by answering JetHawks trivia. The show airs live from 5-6 PM on Magic 1340 and JetHawks.com with host Jeff Lasky and clubhouse reporter William Calvert.
The interview with Owings kicks off a series of interviews with former JetHawks stars now in the big leagues. Each week Calvert has a conversation with big-name JetHawks about how their time in Lancaster helped get them ready for playing in the majors. Future guests include Mark Reynolds, Conor Jackson, Stephen Drew, Miguel Montero, and Doug Slaten.
