
Miami Fc Returns To Usl Action Playing The Minnesota Thunder On Saturday

Miami, June 14, 2007 - The Miami Football Club looks to rebound after a disappointing weekend as they travel to Minnesota to take on the Thunder. Miami FC returns to league play after losing in the first round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Minnesota is having their share of troubles on the field sitting near the bottom of the standing with a record of 1-6-4. The match is set for this Saturday, June 16, at 8:35 pm in St. Paul. The last time both teams played against each other, Miami won the match 1-0, playing at the legendary Orange Bowl, in Miami.
Miami FC has improved on offense scoring five goals in the last three USL games. The return of Eric Vazquez to the lineup has given the Blues a huge boost adding a goal in each of the matches.
Miami FC will also get some needed help on the opposite side of the ball with the return of defenders Stephane Guillaume, Jamil Jean-Jacques, and goalkeeper Gabard Fenelon. The three Miami FC stars were called into action by their Haitian national team to play in the 2007 Gold Cup.
The Thunder are coming off their first ever Open Cup victory defeating the El Paso Indios 3-2 advancing to the second round. The Thunder's next home game will be a double header at the National Sports Center in Blaine. The Lightning will kick off at 5:05 against the Fort Wayne Fever and the Thunder will follow at 8:35 against Miami FC.
The Minnesota Thunder are led by forward Brian Farber. He leads the Thunder with two goals and one assist on the season.
