Miami - Miami FC increased its undefeated streak to five with a 1-1 draw against the NSC Minnesota Stars last Saturday in Blaine, Minnesota. Miami will return to Lockhart Stadium to face the Stars once again this Saturday, May 22. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

"We are eager to win our first game, but we can't forget the fact that we are undefeated. Coming back the way we did and pushing for a win away from home is a sign of our players' will to win and refusing to lose. The results that bring us three points will come if we stay committed to getting better," said Head Coach Victor Pastora.

The Blues came out aggressively, as midfielder Bryan Arguez broke down the Minnesota defense, creating a one-on-one opportunity with goalie Joe Warren but was unable to capitalize on the opportunity.

Later on in the first half, Brain Cvilikas stole a back pass from the Miami FC defense, getting a clear shot on goal. Cristiano Dias quickly dashed towards the goal, clearing the ball away from danger.

Miami FC came out just as aggressive in the second half.

In the early moments of the second half, Paulo Jr. made a brilliant move at the edge of the box, clearing enough space for him to rifle a shot, barley grazing the far post.

In the 55 minute, however, Brain Cvilikas flicked a ball on to Johnny Menyongar, who calmly finished putting the Stars up 1-0.

Twenty minutes later, Christian Gomez made a run down the right flank and crossed the ball towards the back post. Miami FC's point leader, Paulo Jr., got a head on the ball, scoring his second goal of the season.

Moments later, Cabas was taken down in the box, awarding Miami a penalty kick and a chance to take the lead. Abe Thompson drove the ball towards the right post, but Warren made a spectacular save to keep the game tied at one. This was Warren's third penalty kick save in three matches.

The Blues had one more chance in the dying moments of the game, when Euzebio Neto, making his first start of the season, made a cleaver back heel towards the edge of box. Gomez quickly gathered the ball and rifled a shot that barely missed the Minnesota goal.
