Fort Lauderdale Strikers News Release
One of Traffic Sports' newest acquisitions, Gale Agbossoumonde, has been called up to represent the United States in the U-20 World Cup that will be held in Egypt starting in late September. Gale - who is only 17 years old - is expected to anchor the United States back line. He joined Miami FC on August 6, 2009 and has played 138 minutes in three matches.
"Everyone is impressed with Gale's performance so far. Miami FC and Traffic Sports feel that he is only scratching the surface of his potential. There is no doubt in our minds that he's going to be a very special player," said Blues General Manager, Luiz Muzzi.
Miami FC travels this week to Nelson Field to face the Austin Aztex on Saturday August 29th at 7pm. The Blues will then return home to play the Aztex again for their FIU Stadium season finale; scheduled for September 5th.
