Fort Lauderdale Strikers News Release

Miami, March 6, 2008 - Miami FC announced today that it has come to terms with Brazilian midfielder Leo Inacio Nunes, striker Diego Serna, and Argentine defender Facundo Erpen for the upcoming 2009 season. . All three signings are subject to USL and USSF approval along with international clearance.

"I think it is important to have veteran leadership for all three of our lines" said General Manager Luiz Muzzi "Facundo Erpen will bring some consistency to our defense, Leo Inacio has played for a lot of big clubs in Brazil as well as Miami FC last year, and Diego Serna has the experience and know-how to bring another dimension to our offense."

Leo Inacio Nunes played twelve games for the Blues last year and was a fixture in Zinho's starting line ups. He has played for some of the biggest clubs in Brazil which include Flamengo, Gremio, and Vaco da Gama.

"I m happy to have Leo Inacio back, he knows the team and he is familiar with the competition," said head coach Zinho. "I think it's more important that he has an understanding with his teammates already, sometimes when a new player comes in it takes a little bit of time for them to get used to their team, Leo Inacio won't have that problem."

Facundo Erpen is a 25-year-old center defender who brings tenacity and a strong work ethic to the club. He started his soccer career by playing for the Argentine giant Boca Juniors youth team. He soon found himself starting for Talleres de Cordoba before making the leap to MLS. He played for DC United and the Colorado Rapids during his playing career in the MLS. In August 2006 he was named to the MLS All-Star team that faced off against Chelsea FC.

Diego Serna is no stranger to South Floridian soccer- he is the all-time leading goal scorer for the Miami Fusion and has played in 100 games in the MLS.

"I am very happy to be in Miami, Miami holds a very special place in my heart" Said the Colombian striker "I love the the fans in South Florida, they are like my family."
