
Meola Undergoes Successful Surgery

Kansas City Wizards goalkeeper Tony Meola underwent successful surgery today to repair a lower abdominal strain suffered earlier in the season. Dr. Myers preformed the procedure today in Philadelphia. Meola is due back in Kansas City tomorrow afternoon where he will rest for three weeks before he starts rehabilitation.
Wizards Athletic Trainer Chet North commented, "Dr. Myers said that it was a very successful treatment and with Tony's aggressive attitude towards rehabilitation he should back very soon."
