
Memphis Grizzlies Assign Tony Wroten to Bighorns

RENO, NEV., Nov. 27, 2012 - The Memphis Grizzlies today assigned rookie guard Tony Wroten to the Reno Bighorns, the Grizzlies' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the first for Wroten and the 17th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons.
Wroten (6-6, 208, Washington) has appeared in three games for Memphis this season, averaging 2.7 minutes. Selected in the first round, 25th overall, of the 2012 NBA Draft, Wroten spent one year with the Huskies, when he averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals. For his efforts, he was named All-Pac 12 Freshman of the Year (2012).
Wroten is expected to join the Bighorns today and be available when the team hosts the Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday, Nov. 30 in Reno.
