
Meier Returns to the Mooseheads, Named Captain

Halifax Mooseheads star forward Timo Meier was reassigned to the team from the San Jose Sharks on Monday and was promptly named Captain of the Mooseheads by Head Coach Dominique Ducharme.
Meier, the 9th overall selection by San Jose, participated in the Sharks training camp this month and will be back in the Halifax lineup on Friday when the team opens a three-game road trip in Sherbrooke.
The 18-year-old Herisau, Switzerland native scored 44 goals and 46 assists in a breakout season with Halifax in 2014-2015.
There will be media availability outside the Mooseheads dressing room immediately following practice which begins at 3:30 at Scotiabank Centre.
