Los Angeles Aftershock News Release
Los Angeles, CA. Introducing the Los Angeles Aftershock, owned by LA businessman Shawn Blattenberger. The Aftershock will be playing 18 home games this season at the Los Angeles College-Southwest, an exciting 3000 seat arena located in Los Angeles at 1600 Imperial Highway.
The General Manager and Head Coach of the team is Andre Smith, who ran the basketball programs at Perrin and San Bernadino High Schools. The Aftershock is a community-focused organization that recognizes the importance of being role models for today's youth and has established several unique programs to benefit LA area youth organizations. According to Blattenberger, "LA is a very big and expensive market. There are not too many sports and entertainment options available to the majority of citizens that are both top quality and affordable. Our goal is to give the people of LA action packed high quality professional basketball and top musical entertainment - all at one low price - about the cost of going to the movies. And, if you saw our team in the ABA Summer Pro League, you know how good we are already - and we'll get better."

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
