MARION, OH -- The Blue Racers came up victorious on Sunday against the Columbus War Eagles, 61-2. The Offensive MVP Award presented by Burger King was given to WR Brandon Williams. The Defensive MVP Award presented by Ralphie's Family Sports Eatery was given to DB EJ Underwood. The Big Ugly Award presented by First Choice Tax Service was given to LB/DL Korrion Wade. Finally, The Special Teams Award presented by Aaron's was given to WR/QB Mike Tatum. Before the game began, the trophy was presented to the team for winning the regular season CIFL South Division Title with a perfect 5-0 record in the division. They have now completed four consecutive regular seasons of professional football in Marion, OH.
The next stop is the 2014 CIFL Playoffs! On Saturday, May 10th the Marion Blue Racers will host the 2014 CIFL South Conference Championship Game at Veterans Memorial Coliseum which will decide who will represent the South Division in the 2014 CIFL Championship Game. They will face the winner of the game between the Northern Kentucky River Monsters and the Dayton Sharks being held on May 3rd at Hara Arena in Dayton, OH.
