St. Louis, June 19, 2006-Continuing in a long tradition of his support for the United States Armed Forces, Francis Slay, Mayor City of St. Louis, will be on hand at the Savvis Center June 23 to oversee the military commissioning of a father and son prior to the game on the field. Mayor Slay will be performing the commissioning for George Whittington III, into the Army Reserves, who will then turnaround and perform the commissioning of his son George Whittington IV into the US Army.
MASSIER PLAYING ON JUNE 23
Danny Massier of Saskatchewan, Canada, won an auction that benefited the United Way of Great Louis.
Massier's prize will be the opportunity to play with the Rage's kickoff team this Friday against the Tennessee Riversharks.
The final bid on the auction was $1,326.
** TOMORROW IS THE DAY FOR A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT **
Tomorrow, the RiverCity Rage will finally make public the huge announcement regarding the game on Friday. This event will be a first ever for arena football in St. Louis, and fans will not want to miss being in Savvis Center.
