Erie BayHawks News Release
ERIE - Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott today declared Friday, December 10 - Sunday, December 13 "Erie BayHawks Weekend" and "encourages the entire Erie region to come out to the home opener, Saturday, December 12" at the Tullio Arena.
In a press conference at Erie City Hall, Mayor Sinnott presented the proclamation to player, Jackie Manuel, and BayHawks lead local investor, Owen McCormick, on behalf of the team and coaches who were in attendance.
The BayHawks also announced the Ultimate Fan Upgrade promotion. The team is looking for fans who arrive at the game sporting BayHawks gear, face paint, foam fingers and a fired up attitude. Doing so could win the fan an Ultimate Upgrade to courtside seats prior to the tipoff opening night. "I've been called the BayHawks number one fan, so try and outdo me," said Mayor Sinnott. "You just never know what I might do."
"We have some exciting things planned for opening night, so we encourage fans to get their tickets early and avoid the crush at the box office on Saturday night," said team president Matt Bresee. "You'll want to be in your seats early so you don't miss a minute.''
Tickets are on sale now at the Tullio Arena box office. Fans interested in discounted ticket packages can contact the BayHawks office at 790-5600 or visit ErieBayHawks.com.
