The Rail Yard Dawgs have been one of the best teams in the SPHL over the last month, as they have a 9-2-1 record in 12 games since the start of February. Their impressive month included a franchise-long eight-game winning streak that ended on February 24th against Mississippi. Over that recent 12-game stretch, Roanoke has averaged 3.83 goals per game and allowed just 2.33 goals per game. Their team took a hit, as starting goaltender and February's Warrior Player of the Month Brad Barone was loaned to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the ECHL. With Barone on loan, the team turns to SPHL veteran Matt Zenzola as their main goaltender. In two games since the loss of Barone, Zenzola has allowed six goals.

Huntsville Havoc Preview

2017-2018 Team Record (As of March 5): 26-14-5 (57 points; 3rd Place)

Outside of Macon's 7-1 win on January 12th, Huntsville has allowed just six goals combined in the other three games against the Mayhem. Both teams last played on Saturday, as Huntsville skated away with a 4-1 victory over the Mayhem. Despite being kept off the board on the power play on Saturday, the Havoc rank first in power play percentage at 20.96%, and while the killed off all four Mayhem power play opportunities, their penalty kill still ranks last in the SPHL at 78.26%.
