Chicago, IL - Chicago Machine professional lacrosse will hold its third and final training camp this weekend, Saturday & Sunday, May 10 and 11. Saturday's session will take place at the Chicago Academy, 3400 N. Austin Blvd., Chicago, from 9:30 am to Noon and from 4 to 6 pm. The final pre-season training camp session will take place Sunday, May 11, starting at 3:30 pm at TOYOTA PARK, 7000 S. Harlem, Bridgeview, the site of Chicago Machine home games. The May 10 training camp is open to the public. The May 11 training camp is open to media only.
Thirty-five of the nation's top lacrosse players, including five players invited from open try-outs held in April, have competed over the course of three weekends for a spot on the 2008 roster of the Chicago Machine Major League Lacrosse team. The final Chicago Machine roster will be announced Monday, May 12.
Chicago Machine MLL Season
The Chicago Machine season opens Sunday, May 18, with a 3:30 pm game against western division rival San Francisco Dragons. The twelve week regular season concludes August 10 with playoffs extending into September. Tickets to all home games are available online at www.ChicagoMachine.com or by calling (312) 255-1540.

The Chicago Machine @ Denver Outlaws game on Saturday, July 26, will be the MLL Game of the Week, broadcast on ESPN2. The Major League Lacrosse All Star Game will take place in Denver on Thursday, July 17, 2008. The 2008 NB ZIP⢠MLL Championship Weekend will take place at Harvard Stadium in Boston on August 23rd and 24th. The All Star Game and Championship Weekend games will be televised on ESPN2.
About the Chicago Machine
The Chicago Machine is Chicago's outdoor professional men's lacrosse team, members of the Western Conference of Major League Lacrosse (MLL). Now in their third season, the Chicago Machine plays at TOYOTA PARK, 15 minutes southwest of downtown Chicago. Led by head coach John Combs, the team has top players from nationally ranked college programs such as Notre Dame, Cornell, UMass, Virginia, Navy and Syracuse. The Chicago Machine opens their third season at home on Sunday, May 18, 2008, against conference rival San Francisco Dragons. Season tickets and individual game tickets are now available.
