Lax United All New For '08 MLL Season

Boston, MA - After months of planning and research, Lax United is pleased to announce the the all-new www.laxunited.com, the online video and commentary home for the sport of lacrosse.

Originally launched in May 2007, the aim of Lax United is to cover the sport of lacrosse in a unique, comprehensive manner by providing an assortment of quality video, in-depth analysis, and full coverage of the game. Additionally, Lax United will showcase the lifestyle and stars of lacrosse.

The most important goal of the enhanced site is to improve the overall video experience, while also making it easier to navigate through the array of commentary and additional features that have been added to the site.

As the redesign coincides with the start of the 2008 Major League Lacrosse season, the revamped video player will feature a great deal of MLL coverage. Video content on the site this season will include MLL team previews, interviews from training camp, postgame highlights, recaps and interviews from each MLL games within 24 hours of their conclusion, player video blogs, weekly ‘Inside the MLL' webisodes for each of the league's 10 teams, and more. However, coverage will not be limited to just the MLL as links to headlines and video from the NLL and College Lacrosse will also be available on the new site.

The new written commentary section features columnists Kyle Devitte and Dan Freshman from Lax Nation, MLL ESPN2 announcers Joe Beninati and Quint Kessenich, and Lax United's Jason Chandler. Each week, they will provide commentary Monday through Friday throughout the 2008 season.

The new MLL Radio section will feature a daily radio podcast hosted by Jason Chandler. Podcasts will be available online or by download. Jason will talk with a player, coach, GM or media member for each of the MLL's ten teams each week. Podcasts will also include weekly recap and preview discussions as well as interviews with members of the national lacrosse media.

In the future, Lax United plans to introduce a user generated section to the video player, which will allow fans the opportunity to upload their own lacrosse videos. In addition, various social networking features will rolled out at a later date in an effort to further enhance the Lax United experience.
