Maxey Helps the Oneonta Outlaws Down the Saugerties Stallions 2-0

Taylor Maxey (Chattanooga CC) went 1-3, helping the Oneonta Outlaws (18-12) to a 2-0 victory over the Saugerties Stallions (10-19) on Sunday at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field. He singled in the sixth inning.

The Saugerties Stallions had no answer for Nate Wrighter (Bryant University), who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Saugerties Stallions managed just one hit off of the the Oneonta Outlaws' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Nick Burns (Johns Hopkins University) allowed no earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Burns ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
