Previewing This Week

Fri., March 3 vs. Allen - 7:35 p.m., & Sat., March 4 vs. Allen - 7:05 p.m.| Home vs. ALN (1-1-0), Away vs. ALN (1-3-1)

For the first time since November 30, the Mavericks will entertain the Allen Americans at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena this weekend. Allen (8-2-1) and Missouri (8-2-0) had two of the best Februaries in the entire ECHL and look to keep that momentum going in March. The Mavericks and Americans have made a habit of playing close games in recent meetings, with three of the last four decided by one goal. Allen snagged a 1-0 win in Missouri on November 30, and the teams traded overtime wins in Allen on Jan. 15 and 16. The Mavericks, who have a 2.13 team goal against-average over their last eight games, will contend with an Allen offense that averaged 5.36 goals per game in February.

Sun., March 5 vs. Tulsa - 4:05 p.m., | Home vs. TUL (1-1-1), Away vs. TUL (4-2-0)

Tulsa last visited Missouri on December 19 and skated away with a 3-2 win. The Oilers have, in fact, won two in a row at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena since the Mavericks claimed a 10-3 win over Tulsa on November 5. The Mavericks, meanwhile, have rattled off three straight road wins in Tulsa to grab a 5-3-1 record in the season series. Defense has been a major key to the Mavericks' current three-game win streak over Tulsa as they have held the Oilers to an average of 1.33 goals per game in that span. When the teams meet on Sunday the Mavericks will hit the midway point of their six-game home stand while Tulsa will be in the midst of a nine-game road swing.
