
Mavericks Sign Tanner Fritz

INDEPENDENCE, MO (June 24, 2015) - The Missouri Mavericks announced Wednesday afternoon that they have signed forward Tanner Fritz to a standard player contract for the 2015-16 ECHL season.
"Tanner is a great all-around player who had an impressive college career and is ready to turn the page and begin his professional career," said Richard Matvichuk, Missouri Mavericks Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations. "He averaged a point per game while at Ohio State University and we are very happy to have him in the lineup."
The twenty-three year old Grande Prairie, Alberta native spent the past four seasons at Ohio State University, putting up eleven (11) goals, and sixteen (16) assists through thirty-six (36) games this past season with the Big Ten university. A natural leader, Fritz served as captain of his team during the 2014-15 season, wore the "A" during his 2013-14 season with the Buckeyes, and was awarded the 2014 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the hockey team. Fritz averaged twenty-eight (28) points in his previous four (4) regular seasons through 142 games.
