Mavericks Remain #1 in ABA Power Rankings

The SETX Mavericks (8-0) continue on as the #1 Ranked team in the ABA Power Rankings for a record 19th consecutive week.

The Mavericks returned to the top spot in the Power Rankings in mid-December of last season and held that position for 14 consecutive weeks throughout the remainder of the 2009-10 Season. Now with the Mavs holding on to the #1 ranking the first 5 weeks of the 2010-11 Season they have held the #1 position for an amazing 19 straight weeks.

The Mavericks also have now won 19 straight ABA Regular Season games. The Mavs finished last season with 11 straight victories in the regular season and with opening this season with 8 straight wins the streak has grown to 19 straight regular season wins. SETX holds the ABA longest regular winning streak record with 30 straight wins during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons. The Mavericks will go after their 20th straight Regular Season win this Thursday night as they host the Houston Red Storm at their NJEC Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
