Mavericks Blow Past Dirt Dawgs

LEOMINSTER, Mass. (Friday, July 19, 2013). The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs did not have it tonight.
The Seacoast Mavericks (17-20) jumped on the Dirt Dawgs (15-19) early and often Friday night, winning the game 21-7.
"It was a tough one today," said Scott Lettre, Director of Baseball for Wachusett. "Fortunately for us, we play tomorrow and can move on from this one."
Ryan Coppinger (Canisius) was a human highlight real for the Mavericks, as he finished with an insane stat line of 4-for-5, with four homeruns, 11 RBIs, four runs scored, and two base on balls.
Brett Tenuto (Stony Brook) also had a huge day for the Mavericks, going 5-for-6, with five runs scored and an RBI.
Collectively, Seacoast exploded for 25 hits and batted around seven times.
Shane Beauchemin (UMass Lowell) earned the win for the Mavericks; he went six innings, allowing only two runs on three hits while striking out six. He moves to 2-1 on the season.
The Dirt Dawgs got on the board in the fourth, thanks to a two run homer from Josh Raymond (Judson).
Raymond's teammate at Judson University, Billy Wright, added a three run homer in the eighth.
Michael Marshall took the loss for Wachusett, moving to 1-4 on the year.
The Dirt Dawgs will look to rebound on the road tomorrow as they travel to Nashua to take on the Silver Knights. Game time is at 7:05 PM.
