Mavericks Bats Hot in Victory over Wachusett

ROCHESTER- The Seacoast Mavericks defeated the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs 15-6 Tuesday night at Bert George Field.

The Mavericks Bryan Langlois (Pepperdine) continued to show a phenomenal presence at the plate, going 5-for-6 on the evening. Langlois scored two runs and drove in 6 RBIs on the evening; two of which came on his first homerun of the season.

Ryan Coppinger (Canisius) had a successful home field return for The Mavericks, going 3-4 on the evening with three runs and three RBI's. Likewise, Zach Berger's star continued to rise while going 3-for-5 on the evening with two runs scored and one RBI.

Luke Fernandes (Boston College) showed great improvement for the Mavs, giving up only two hits in two innings pitched while striking out five batters.

Doug Willey (Franklin Pierce University) allowed no baserunners and struck out two batters in the final inning.

William Johnson (Assumption College) struck early for the Dirt Dawgs, scoring two RBI off of one hit. Bobby Pease (Holy Cross) went 3-for-5 while scoring one run and batting in a run of his own.

Jeff Anderson (Adelphi) ran into trouble early, giving up eight earned runs off of eight hits. He struck out and walked one over three innings.

Former Maverick Davidson Peguero (Fisher College) ran into trouble as well, giving up three runs (one earned) off three hits and three walks over 2.2 innings of work.

Brad Reynolds (Bates College) earned the win for Seacoast. He allowed two runs over two innings, striking out two batters in the process.

The Mavericks (15-12) are on the road for three straight before returning to Bert George on Saturday to face defending FCBL champions, the Nashua Silver Knights. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
