
Maulers Fall in Hard Fought Battle

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Montgomery Maulers' came up short on a fourth quarter six seconds left come back to fall to the Dayton Warbirds, 48-55 on Saturday night.
Machion Sanders caught a six yard pass from J.R. Richardson with six seconds left to help the Maulers attempt a fourth quarter comeback. An on-side kick was unsuccessful as the Warbirds recovered it and gained no ground to end the game.
Mareno Philyaw led the offense scoring four touchdowns and racking up a total of 28 passing and 17 net rushing yards.
The Maulers will be back in action next Saturday as it host the Rome Renegades with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
