Maui to Take on Outlaws for GBL Championship

The Outlaws opponent for the 2010 Golden Baseball League Championship Series was decided on Sunday evening in Fullerton, CA as the Maui Na Koa Ikaika downed the Orange County Flyers 15-3 to win the South Division Playoff Series 3 game to 2.
Maui, winners of both halves of the season in the GBL's South Division, came out on a mission as they pounded out 18 hits against the Flyers and handing Orange County ace Manny Ayala just his second loss of the season.
After splitting the two games in Maui with Orange County, Na Koa Ikaika took two of three at Goodwin Field to advance to the finals against the Outlaws.
Chico and Maui met just once in the regular season, with the Na Koa Ikaika taking two of three against the Outlaws at Nettleton Stadium August 20th-22nd.
The Outlaws hit .321 against Na Koa Ikaika, who ended up sporting the league's lowest team ERA at 3.14. RF Mikael Jova hit .500 and 2B Bobby Hill .455 against Maui, leading the team.
Game one of the series is set for Tuesday night at Nettleton Stadium, with first pitch set for 7:05 pm. Wednesday is game two, also at 7:05 pm.
The teams will travel to the Valley Isle on Thursday and then play game three of the series at Iron Maerhara Stadium in Wailuku, Maui on Friday night. Games four and five, if necessary, would be played Saturday and Sunday.
