Howell, NJ - Sky Blue FC (5-13-5, 20 points) heads to North Carolina on Saturday, October 12th to face the Courage (14-5-4, 46 points) at WakeMed Soccer Park at 7:00 p.m ET. This match will be Sky Blue's final match of the 2019 Season.

Preview
Sky Blue FC holds eighth place in the NWSL standings with 20 points. The team is coming off an international break, with their last match being played on September 29th against the Orlando Pride (a 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena). The Courage, three-time NWSL Shield Winners, sit in first place with 46 points.
Carli Lloyd comes into the final match of the season leading the attack with seven goals and one assist. Within 13 NWSL matches this season, Lloyd has been involved in a higher share of Sky Blue's 269 shots at goal than any of her teammates, with 53 shots and 13 goalscoring chances created.

The Courage are coming off a 2-1 loss to the fifth place Washington Spirit on September 26th away at the Maryland SoccerPlex. The Courage have been in top form at home, going unbeaten in their last 17 NWSL home games, including a playoff match, since a 1-0 loss to Utah in June 2018 (13W-4D).
North Carolina forward Lynn Williams has spearheaded the Courage attack this season with 12 goals and five assists. Following closely behind in the attack is Kristen Hamilton (nine goals, five assists), Debinha (seven goals, six assists), and Crystal Dunn (seven goals, four assists). The combination of Williams and Debinha has been dangerous, creating 21 goalscoring chances, the second highest figure for a duo in the league.

Sky Blue FC and the Courage last played each other on September 7th in a 2-1 loss at Yurcak Field. Carli Lloyd buried a penalty kick in the 14th minute for Sky Blue's lone goal of the match.
