EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley FC (1-4-0) looks to bounce back in league play as they face Eastern Conference opponent New York Red Bulls ll (1-4-0) on Friday, April 15 at MSU Soccer Park. The matchup will be live nationally on ESPN+.
RGV FC:
Rio Grande looks to regain momentum after a difficult to swallow home loss against Indy Eleven on April 9. Despite pace control and overall management of the match, RGV suffered two instances where they were caught off guard and allowed the result to slip away at home, 1-2. The focus moving into the remainder of the April schedule is making the most out of every possession and finishing the chances that are presented to steer clear of those one-goal margins that have affected the club as of late.
Veteran midfielder Juan David Cabezas has returned from a short recovery absence and is a key addition to the lineup for RGV FC as they look to build off the already solid back line. USL Championship newcomer, Dylan Borczak has continued to build his rhythm and is hungry to build on his goal total on the year, having scored one goal and dismantled defenses in just five matches played as a pro.
