MATCH PREVIEW

Fresno makes its second trip to Zions Bank Stadium, returning to take on Real Monarchs for the second of three meetings this season. The midweek match is the start of a difficult four-game stretch for the Foxes, as they face the top four teams in the Western Conference starting

with first-place Real Monarchs. Real Monarchs won the first-ever meeting between the two clubs, taking a 1-0 result on May 12th with Maikel Chang's goal at the eighth minute. Since that meeting a month ago, Real Monarchs have continued to control the table winning four of their previous six matches. The Foxes have floated just below the playoff line at 4W-6D-7L, collecting 19 points for 11th place. The Foxes will need points to strengthen their playoff hopes, and can do so with a result Tuesday against a Real Monarchs side that will be without captain Sebastian Velasquez who will be serving the second game of a serving a two-game suspension. Still, the Monarchs will have Chang (6 assists), Chandler Hoffman (6 goals) and Kalen Ryden (4 goals) to lead the offense.
