Match Day | Fresno FC at La Galaxy II

August 9, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Fresno FC News Release

Fresno FC hopes to revert to winning ways in Week 22 as the Foxes hed to Southern California for a rematch against LA Galaxy II. The two clubs played to a 1-1 draw in Week 2 after the equalizing goal from Alex Cooper in the 75th minute. It's been four months since they've met and it'll be a long-awaited duel as the Foxes look to regain footing in the Western Conference playoff race after stumbling to 10th after their 1-0 loss at Sacramento Republic FC. Galaxy II has also struggled recently, going winless in their previous four matches, with three losses along the way, to sit at 14th place. The Foxes will see right back Zach Ellis-Hayden return to the lineup after serving a one-game suspension for yellow-card accumulation, while Galaxy II will be without defender Julian Buescher, who was released on Wednesday. Also on the Los Dos lineup is former Fresno FC defender Justin Fiddes, who was loaned to the expansion franchise early in the season from MLS affiliate Vancouver Whitecaps before being released in June. The trip to LA is the Foxes' final home game in a stretch of four in a row, with Fresno FC returning to Chukchansi Park in Week 23 in a battle against Saint Louis FC on Saturday, Aug. 18.

PUSH FOR PLAYOFFS

Fresno FC continues its push towards the USL Cup Playoffs, as the Foxes hope to secure one of the Western Conference's eight spots. The Foxes (7W-8L-9D) are currently in 10th with 30 points.

FOXES RECEIVE STRIKER MYER BEVAN ON LOAN FROM MLS WHITECAPS

Fresno FC announced Wednesday that the club has received striker Myer Bevan on a short-term loan from Major League Soccer affiliate Vancouver Whitecaps FC through the end of 2018. The 21-year-old joins the Foxes on the day of the MLS Transfer Deadline and will look to help Fresno FC (7W-8L-9D) in its push for the USL Cup Playoffs.
