Mascot Name Finalists Announced

Amarillo, TX 4/13/11 - The Amarillo Venom received hundreds of name suggestions for their new mascot, but they've whittled it down to three finalists based on popularity.
Of the hundreds of names proposed Fang, Striker, and Vinnie are the three names the Venom is asking their fans to vote on. Fans can visit the Venom's Web site www.govenom.com to vote for their favorite mascot name.
Since each of the mascot names were submitted by multiple people, the Venom will put all submissions of the winning name into a drawing to see who will receive tickets for the remainder of the 2011 season and season tickets for the 2012 season. The winning mascot name will be announced at the April 23rd game against the West Texas Rough Necks and the winner of the tickets will be drawn at halftime, fans must be present to win.
Fans needing tickets to the April 23rd game can stop by the Venom's office located at 901 S. Buchanan or call 806-350-7277. Tickets can also be purchased at any United Supermarkets or by visiting www.panhandletickets.com.
