
Maryland Defeats Buffalo For Its First Win Of The Season

The Maryland GreenHawks defeated the Buffalo Stampede 101-87 at the Koessler Center in Buffalo this afternoon. It was a chippy game as evidenced by 55 personal fouls and 3 technical fouls. Maryland's bench outscored Buffalo's bench 70-27. The GreenHawks had a balanced attack led by Scooter Sherill with 17 points. Terrance Mouton added 16 points for the GreenHawks.
The Stampede were led by Andy Robinson (University at Buffalo) with 22 points. Derick Payne added 19 for Buffalo who fell to 0-3 on the season. The win improved Maryland's record to 1-3.
The next three games for the Stampede will be on the road, including a return match against Rochester on January 23 for the RazorSharks home opener, returning home on January 30th to play the Manchester Millrats.
