
Marvell Waithe Signs with Halifax Hurricanes

Halifax, N.S. - Power forward Marvell Waithe from Toronto, Ontario has signed with the Halifax Hurricanes. Back in 2017/18, Waithe put up impressive numbers with the Niagara River Lions scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. He also appeared in nine games with the Moncton Magic following a mid-season trade.
"Marvell is a veteran Canadian player who brings a lot of experience with him having played pro basketball around the world. He can score in a variety of ways; he makes other players better around him and has a high compete level," says Head Coach Mike Leslie. "I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with Marvell as he can have such an impact on the game at both ends of the floor. We look forward to maximizing his skills here within our team oriented structure."
The Halifax Hurricanes will be entering their fifth season as a member of the NBL Canada. Season Memberships for the upcoming 2019-20 regular season are on sale now.
