
Marta Voted NWSL Player of the Week

CHICAGO - Orlando Pride attacker Marta has been voted NWSL Player of the Week for Week 13 of the 2019 season by the NWSL Media Association. Viewers of the first NWSL televised game with ESPN were treated to a thrilling matchup where Marta played with determination and power to try and turn around game that resulted in a 4-3 final with Portland win.
Marta attacked with a near-perfect kick to score her first goal of the game at 61 minutes in, then forced a Thorns-own goal at the 68th minute. She additionally created two chances and impressed fans with an 86.8% passing accuracy.
