
Marlies Set Record For Most Points By A Maple Leafs Affiliate

A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies set a new record for the most points by any team to be affiliated with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Marlies defeated the Rochester Americans 6-2 on Saturday, April 12 for their 109th point of the season.
With the win, Toronto broke the previous mark of 107 points, which was set by the New Brunswick Hawks while playing in the American Hockey League during the 1981-82 season.
The Marlies begin the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs against the San Antonio Rampage - AHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes - on Wednesday night at Ricoh Coliseum with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Game 2 of their first round, best of seven series will be played on Friday at Ricoh Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. For playoff ticket information, including season ticket packages and priority seating, visit www.torontomarlies.com or call the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK.
