Toronto Marlies News Release

The Toronto Marlies travel to Richmond Hill for the third in a series of community practices in an effort to connect with minor hockey teams throughout the GTA. Commencing at 7 p.m. tonight at Elgin Barrow Arena, a number of novice level players will watch Greg Gilbert put his charges through a legitimate pro hockey practice. With 15 minutes remaining in the session, these same players will take to the ice and join the entire Marlies team in interactive and challenging drills aimed at helping young players improve.

The Marlies will leave the ice surface at 8 p.m. before participating in a team autograph-signing session. The program continues with a visit to Scarborough on Monday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Following a 4-2 win over East Division leader, the Philadelphia Phantoms on Sunday afternoon, the Marlies next see action when they visit divisional rival the Rochester Americans - AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers - this Friday at Blue Cross Arena at 7:35 p.m. The Marlies return to Ricoh Coliseum on Saturday when they host the Binghamton Senators at 4 p.m.
