Virginia Beach, Virginia - The Virginia Beach Mariners will play their final game of the 2005 season tonight against second place Rochester at Frontier Field. The Mariners and Rhinos are 5-5 all-time and the Mariners have won 3 out of the last 4 contests including a 2-1 win on July 23 at the Sportsplex.

The Mariners are trying to make it three in a row tonight, have won their last two: 2-0 over Portland on September 2 and a last minute thriller in the 89th minute over Charleston on September 4. The team has gong unbeaten in 5 of its last 7 games, outscoring their opponents 6-4.

Both Darren Caskey and Steve Shak were named to the Team of the Week this week for their outstanding play against Portland on September 2. The Mariners were the only team in the USL First Division to have two players honored.
