Pulaski, VA - The Greeneville Astros had everything going their way early on Thursday night as they built a 7-0 lead. However, the Pulaski Mariners rallied, tied the game in the ninth inning and eventually defeated the Astros 9-8 in the tenth.

The Astros got the scoring started on a Michael Martinez RBI-single and a passed ball to score Brian Blasik in the first inning. In the second, D'Andre Toney hit a two-run homer. Then Ernesto Genoves hit a solo homer, Angel Ibanez went for a RBI-triple and Blasik had a RBI-single in the third to build a strong 7-0 lead.

The Astros bounced back and even scored once more in the seventh inning on a Ricky Gingras RBI-single to give Greeneville an 8-5 lead. However, the Mariners were not ready to give in.

Pulaski moved within two runs in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Jordy Lara to score Gilmer Lampe. Then, in the ninth, Dario Pizzano hit a RBI-double and Peguero connected on a RBI-single to even the score at 8-8 and send the game into extra innings.

Lawson advanced to second on a Jabari Henry sacrifice bunt and then to third on a fly out by Bryan Brito. Finally, Phillips Castillo singled on a line drive to center field to score Lawson for the winning run and complete the rally.
