
Marie Ferdinand Injury Update

SAN ANTNOIO â San Antonio Silver Stars guard Marie Ferdinand underwent an MRI today that revealed no further damage to her dislocated right elbow. It was determined that surgery will not be necessary. She will begin rehabilitation tomorrow. At this time this time there is no definite time table for her recovery.
Ferdinand suffered a pesterolateral dislocation of the right elbow in the Silver Stars' game at Los Angeles on July 2. The injury occurred at the 16:23 mark of the second half when she collided with teammate Shannon Johnson attempting to block a shot.
For the season Ferdinand has appeared in 17 games and is currently the Silver Stars leading scorer averaging 11.7 points per game.
The Silver Stars are currently 5-12 and will return to action on tomorrow night when they host the Los Angles Sparks at 7:00 p.m. at the SBC Center. Fans can tune in and listen to all of the team's 2004 WNBA games on Clear Channel radio stations Ticket 760 AM and KSJL 810 AM with Andrew Monaco calling the action.
