Miami Manatees News Release

MIAMI, Fla. – In a show of appreciation for the tireless support of the Miami community by the committed staff and volunteers of the United Way, the Miami Manatees are pleased to announce a special "United Way Night with the Miami Manatees."

The Manatees have supported the United Way since establishing the team office in Miami. Before the season began, Manatees owner and WHA2 Founder and Chairman of the Board David Waronker and Coach Zac Boyer served as dual emcees of the Dade County Schools United Way Kickoff campaign, and the Miami Manatees ice proudly displays the United Way logo.

The Manatees will continue to show their support of the United Way by inviting all employees and volunteers to watch the 2nd place Manatees and their best home-record in the WHA2 take on the visiting Alabama Slammers this Saturday night.

"United Way is grateful to the Miami Manatees for providing us with a fun night of hockey to be shared with families and friends." United Way President & CEO Harve Mogul said.

The Miami Manatees face off against the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, and Orlando Seals in the WHA2's inaugural season. All games are broadcast on www.irn.fm.

Individual and Group Tickets for the Miami Manatees are now on sale. For further information, please contact the Manatees at (305) 536-PUCK (7825) or visit www.miamimanatees.com.
