Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. (April 9, 2010) - The Quad City Mallards, proud International Hockey League (IHL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, today announced that as part of the club's partnership with Hardee's©, Mallards players next Tuesday will visit the Hardee's restaurant in Clinton, Iowa, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. to lend a hand to Hardee's staff and meet fans.
Tuesday's appearance is the latest in a series of visits by Mallards players to area Hardee's. The Clinton Hardee's is located at 117 South 2nd Street.
"Through our visits to Hardee's restaurants this season our players have had the chance to meet Mallards fans throughout the Quad Cities and beyond and to also make some new fans while helping out Hardee's staff and helping to serve Hardee's customers," said Mallards Executive Vice President and General Manager Shawn Hackman. "It has been a rewarding experience for all of our players and we're thankful to Hardee's for having given us this unique opportunity."
The Mallards and Hardee's have also partnered on a host of other initiatives this season. The Hardee's "Biscuit in the Basket" promotion delivers coupons good for free Hardee's Made from Scratch=99 Biscuits to a different row of a section randomly selected at each home game for each goal scored by the Mallards at the i wireless Center this season. If the Mallards score at least four goals in a home game, the entire designated section wins free biscuits. The Hardee's logo has been painted on the ice inside the nets at the i wireless Center to serve as a most appropriate target for Mallards marksmen this season.
The Mallards are next in action on home ice tomorrow night against the Bloomington PrairieThunder at 7:05 p.m. The Mallards will play their final regular season home game next Friday night, April 16, against the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets for the Mallards' two remaining regular season home games are available at Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000 or at the i wireless Center box office. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. through the end of the second period.
